Only the Finest Steak for You, Big Cheese

Ritz-Carlton CheesesteakOK, lunchtime. Where can you go for a gourmet cheesesteak without spending $100, but feeling (and possibly looking) like you did? If you’re not craving a fast-food greasy cheesesteak, but want to sit down at a nice restaurant and still experience Philly’s most famous entree, you have to go to The Grill at the Ritz-Carlton and order Chef Sbraga’s “Grill Steak and Cheese” sandwich. Holy Moley, soo good.

Yes, I did say the Ritz-Carlton, but I have to tell you, it’s not as intimidating as you may think”"the prices are very reasonable, and although the high ceilings and decor fall under the category of “Ëœgrand,’ my friend and I felt completely comfortable in regular clothes for a casual lunch.

The sandwich features caramelized onions, aged cheddar, brioche and roasted peppers. It even comes with a shot glass of root beer (just in case whatever else you’re drinking doesn’t satisfy your intense craving for soda while devouring a cheesesteak). It’s $16 bucks, and well worth it.

If you’re looking for something else on the menu that’s both affordable and plentiful, I have to mention the C.K.L.B (Chef Kevin’s Lunch Box). It’s a daily selection of soup, salad, Sandwich and dessert”"all for $22. You can’t beat the price for what you get (and you know the quality of the food is nothing but the best).

The service is great, yet it’s not long and dragging. It’s short, it’s yummy, and it’s perfect for a casual lunch with friends. Of course, it’s also perfect if you’re trying to impress anybody while taking them to lunch. It’s the Ritz!
