I know we signed off and whatnot, but I’m signing back on to report an eyewitness account of HOT MUMMER DAREDEVIL ACTION. It’s true. Sadly, my photographer headed out to download images and I don’t have a photo to share with you.

Now, I’ll tell you, I’ve worked with a lot of daredevils. Evel Knievel. Kaptain Robbie Knievel (you can see my blurred out face in an episode of his A&E show during which segment he tried to run me over in his car – but that’s a story for another time, kiddies).

The “Rock and Roll: Here to Stay” group just rolled up and had the Broad street crowd panting and I do mean panting for their hot rock chops with a mean, crowd screaming rendition of “Hey Baby.” (Sounded like the British DJ recut version for those import lovers out there). At the end of the song, a mummer on a motorcycle, at the top of a ramp, turned on his bike, lit his headlight and rode down the ramp.

Ok, so it wasn’t snake canyon. But it set the crowd on fire! That may have been aided by the 50′s style-dancers who were sock-hopping and whipped out cans of hairspray after their dance and actually sent clouds of hairspray into the air here.

Oh, and did I mention they have groups of Elvis impersonators with them? Oh yeah.

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to rock and roll all night.
