I used to stop in the Daffy’s discount clothier at 17th and Chestnut from time to time. I liked it but didn’t love it, if you know what I mean. That all changed with an incident I now refer to as the Amazing Evening Gown Find. I found an evening gown in Daffy’s for ONE-SEVENTH the price of an identical gown I had purchased at an upscale boutique in New York just a couple of months before. Needless to say, I purchased the bargain one and wear it all the time. (The pricey one hangs in my
closet as a reminder of my “DAFFY-ness.”)
