City Nails Has Nails Nailed

ManicureLadies know that sometimes there’s nothing better than a good manicure. Getting your nails “did” can make even the crappiest-I-lost-my-man-and-my-job day almost tolerable. Manicures make me feel polished, professional, and like a real adult lady person. And my favorite place to get them done is City Nails on Square. City Nails’ vast array of nail polishes and acrylic designs, coupled with its remarkably adept beauticians, make it one of the best Center City spots for a quick nail escapade.

Manicures are an affordable $12, and French manicures only $15. The service is fabulous and the shop has its own overflowing rack of crap gossip magazines, but perhaps the best part of my City Nails experience is watching and listening to the other patrons. City Nails is heavily populated by hyper-tanned Penn girls and well-preserved ladies who lunch, all of whom happily gossip away about their lives and loves, well within ear shot.

A word of warning: it can get pretty hectic on a Friday afternoon, so think about getting your weekend nail refresher a day early if you can. Or, if you’re like me, and love to listen in, make a point to go then!

I totally disagree. The lady was very quick, but the nail polish poorly applied and lasted for 5 minutes. She did not even say hello or good bye. I strongly do not recommend this place.

This is a second rate service for a cheap price. I wouldn’t recommend City Nails to a friend.
