Copa South

Post submitted by Sarah Bluebond
It’s easy to miss. The cheesy décor inside and out definitely fits the name, but if you give it a shot you won’t be disappointed. Featuring three bars, a dining room and outside seating, Copabanana is known for their margaritas and hamburgers. So that is just what I ordered when I sat down.
If you get a chance to get over there during their happy hour, Monday through Friday, 4pm to 7pm, you’ll get $2 off your drink, in my case a classic margarita. Ordering the Macho Burger, I thought I was not going to be able to finish it. But the 10 oz. of beef was so tender before I knew it was all gone. By the way, I recommend it Copa style, with Monterey Jack cheese and mild green Chiles.
If you can, I’d go early. It gets real crowded late. Oh yeah, and it’s only 21+ past 5:00.

The margaritas at the Copa are awesome, not to mention freakin’ toxic – straight up is the way to go. Don’t forget the spanish fries – with jalapenos and onions.
