Old City Caffeine Rush

Post submitted by Louise Castellano
Whenever I’m shopping in the little boutique shops in Old City, and need a little pick-me-up, I head directly to Old City Coffee.
This little coffee shop located next Christ Church, (the first Church of England in Pennsylvania and frequented by George Washington), on a street made of cobblestone, offers some of the best coffee this city has to offer. Not only do they have decent prices on delicious mochas, mint hot chocolate, and other coffees as well as fantastic herbal teas, but a tantalizing selection of baked goodies at their counter.
It’s normally quiet whenever I stop by, the only noise created by coffee machines, the gentle tapping of a customer on their laptop, or soft conversation. It’s a wonderful spot to relax and you almost forget you’re in the heart of Old City. Don’t forget to take a little of Old City Coffee with you. They sell over a half dozen different kinds and flavors of coffee beans so the experience doesn’t end when you exit. If you forget to pick up your favorite coffee, do not fret; it can be purchased online.
