Pearl Paint for all Construction Needs
When I was thirteen I went on a field trip with my art class to Pearl Paint in New York. We went to the Guggenheim too, but I was way too young to appreciate installation art the way I could already grasp commerce, and awe at how awesome it was that somebody realized how good it would be if they built a store where you could get almost everything you could possibly need to work on your projects.
I was thrilled to find one of these guys in Philadelphia and I’m still almost not unhappy to get a parking ticket once every two months when I need to illegally leave my car someplace off of South Street so I can buy a glue stick, a pack of staples, six paint pens, an awl, a book of acetates and six yards of fabric.
This place takes your student ID and gives you 10% off of their already mostly affordable prices and three floors of wares. I do hereby endorse Pearl as the spot to go when you need anything to do anything and as a fine big city answer to the everywhere problem of “Where can I buy a bucket of photo emulsion?”ÂÂ
