Society Hill Dance Academy will be launching their FREE summer film series on June 13th, but that doesn’t mean you’ll just be watching movies on your favorite lawn chair. You’re going to need your dancing shoes. Prior to each film, the wonderful staff at Society Hill will be teaching the famous dances from the movies.

The series runs to the end of August, and we’ll be posting what’s being taught / watched at the start of July and August so you’ll know just what’s going on.

For the month of June, you can kick back and watch Hairspray while learning The Madison, watch West Side Story while learning the Mambo, or watch Grease while learning the Hand Jive.

Local restaurants will be offering delivery to the Academy during the course of the evening. The dancing starts at 7:30 and the movies start at dusk.

6/13 – Hairspray (The Madison)
6/20 – West Side Story (Mambo)
6/27 – Grease (Hand Jive)
