Rain or Shine, a Great Way to Start Your Day (If You’re Lucky)

A few friends and I now check accuweather.com every morning. When we get lucky, Jim Kosek is doing that day’s weather video. If you combined Bill Gates and Gilbert Gottfried into a weatherman, you’d get Jim Kosek. He’s geeky and he’s nuts. If he was just nuts, the act would grow old quickly, but he is also a solid weatherman.
Accuweather is based quite a few hours away from here in State College, PA, where they do forecasts for the entire world. Considering those factors, you wouldn’t expect much true local content for Philadelphia. Jim however seems to know his way around our city making numerous local references. If you look at the official videos on Accuweather’s page for Jim Kosic or catch Jim doing a foreign forecast (New Zealand for example), he seems very normal, boring even. This means he turns on the crazy especially for us!
Although he’s a Cowboys fan (which proves he actually is nuts), he seems to be one of us, at least visiting on a semi-regular basis. Here’s some more youtube of Jim…

I tried to get an official link to one of Jim’s crazier and/or more Phillycentric videos but Accuweather isn’t answering my emails. They don’t want you to know!

That’ll get you going in the morning! Especially a cold, grey, drab, damp Philly morning. Perhaps I could skip one of my morning cups of coffee if I watch him regularly…..
