This public swimming pool is without a doubt Center City’s best-kept summer secret. Located at 25th and South Street at the mouth of the South street bridge this completely free public pool is the perfect place to take a dip and catch some rays after a hard day at the office. With a blend of local families, neighborhood kids, and Graduate Hospital med students, it is a great place to meet new people or bring a friend.

Lap lanes (though the pool is small and there are no actual lanes) are designated weekdays from 6pm-7pm and on weekends from 5pm-6pm. Family time can get pretty crowded and on weekends there is often a wait at the gate to get in. If you don’t mind rowdy kids jumping and splashing and lax teenage lifeguards (with ever changing rules or lack thereof) then you will surely enjoy this summer oasis away from the sweltering concrete jungle.
