Weekend Picks

WXPN’s Free At Noon: Josh Ritter
Free. This is a free show. Like it could get any better. You need only to register. You like singer-songwriters, right?

Silk City: Too Much Awesome with Mr. Ten Fingers. 10pm. Free.
Do you like to shake it? I mean REALLY shake it? Mr. Ten Fingers will be spinning, arguably, the most fun Friday set of all.
Popped at Franklin Institute 6-9 PM. Free with Admission to King Tut exhibit. Haven’t seen the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute? Why not check it out Friday, when your ticket grants you special access to the Fels Planetarium after hours for some DJ’s? The Popped! DJ’s play alongside the Lonesome Cowboy- so expect a mixed bag of all things good.
Jazz at Penns Landing. 7-8:30. Free
This is the second-to-last concert of the season, so don’t miss out.
Come sit lazily along the riverside for an early show. Again: it’s free, which means you can splurge on a fancy dinner. Nice.

Philadelphia Singles Hang Gliding Day
This one make my palms sweat: “A plane brings you up to 2500 feet from level ground with your certified instructor, then release and float freely, bird-like back to a gentle landing on wheels.” Let me know how it goes. Yes, it’s for singles! $169.99

Kelly Drive, Post Brunch
It’s supposed to be nice this weekend, so take a walk! We suggest Kelly Drive. Stroll the Waterworks and head out of town along Boathouse Row. Bring bread crumbs for the geese!
Ongoing
Chosen: Philadelphias Great Hebraica
