Stuff Your Face at Sarcone’s Deli!

Posted submitted by Chad Brown
While pedaling through South Philadelphia my wheels were stopped in front of Sarcone’s Deli. The aroma of something drew me in like a cartoon character as the bike was leaned against a street sign. Inside the small establishment, known city-wide and further for its boss bread, a weighty menu stares you down as the counter bustles with action. For under ten bucks I was out with a large Italian (hoagie that is) that lasted into the day. Other menu items like stuffed olives and a killer anitpasto can be called in ahead for pickup. Bless this place and stuff your face!

Natalie Chartier says:
If you come before one PM, take a few steps down and pick up a steaming hot piece of sicilian-style pizza from the original Sarcone’s Bakery (9th about a half block south of Fitzwater). This saucy slice is the best $1.35 I’ve spent all year – amazingly good!
