Here in Chinatown, we take our tea very seriously. We prefer it over coffee and have it during every meal. For those who share our love affair for this caffeinated treat, I’d like to recommend the Arch Street Teahouse.

Oddly located between Eddies Tattoo and Body Graphics on 9th Arch, there are no couches. Instead they have beautiful hand crafted wooden tea tables that vary in design and are used to complement the specific tea being served. A running waterfall and soft chinese music playing in the background complete this surreal experience.

They have quite a selection of tea available and the prices range from $6.00 and up and serve 6. Be sure to ask for the flower tea. It’s quite thrilling to watch it being mixed. So save the bubble tea for another time and enjoy some real green tea. They are open from 10:30am to 7:30pm Tuesday through Sunday.
