Night At The (Penn) Museum
You can hate on Ben Stiller all you want, but Night at the Museum was an awesome movie. It basically took a simple premise that you probably considered multiple times while you were a kid, and made it into a film. Plus, who doesn’t like the idea of a pet dinosaur skeleton that you can ride through the park?
Unfortunately, Night at the Museum is only a movie. Instead of renting it (or watching your two disc special edition of the movie, like me), why not experience a REAL version, at the Penn Museum?
I’m sure you’ve wondered what really happens at night inside a museum, and well, the Young Friends of the Penn Museum are sponsoring a spooky, Halloween-themed night in the Penn Museum. You’ll hear all sorts of ghost stories about the spirits that haunt the place when the sun goes down. Staff members, including a keeper of the collections, security guard, and the exhibits designer, will be sharing their experiences from over the years.
There will even be a showing of eerie security footage, with a flashlight tour to the sites of the museum’s haunted happenings.
Admission is $20, and if you’re a member of the museum, it’s $15, with two complimentary drinks from the cash bar.
