Rise of the Machines

Revolution IV Scooter Rally: Rise of the Machines

You know what, I’m gonna say it. I liked Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. That’s right, all you artsy film hipsters living in Philadelphia. Come and get me.

In your quest to vanquish me and my horrible taste in film, you could join the Rabble Rouser Scooter Club as they host their own version… the Revolution IV Scooter Rally: Rise of the Machines.

The first rally hit four years ago, a day long event that took a nice long ride out to Valley Forge State Park, and included events like scooter judging, charity raffles, and an evening at Silk City. It has since become an event that takes up an entire weekend, and this year they are expecting 100 to 200 scooter enthusists from the Tri-State Area. Previous years they’ve had attendance from people as far as Maine.

Events include a time trial, a top secret espionage thrill ride (whoa!), DJs spinning, karaoke hosted by Sara Sherr, art raffles, and more. Oh, and included in the art raffles? Beer. I don’t know about you, but I am all over that.

The Rabble Rouser Scooter Club was established here in Philadelphia back in 2002. Originally with only three members, their ranks have grown, making them the largest scooter club in Philadelphia. Besides their passion for all-vintage scooters and their monthly meet-ups, the hosts this Scooter Rally, lead Sunday Rides, and help organize the Annual Philly Independence Day Rally.

Rally registration is $15 in advance and $20 on opening night. Registration includes a Rally shirt, patch, 2 meals, refreshments and entrance to our rides and events.

Revolution IV Scooter Rally is open to scooters of all makes and models, new and vintage, just as long as they’re street legal.
