tagged as   Holiday  Shopping

Ready, Set, Go! I’ve yet to wake up early on Black Friday to battle crowds for the irresistible deals that last for all of 3 hours or “till supplies last”. I prefer the more traditional way of shopping- asking Santa! If you feel the same way or want to stop and drop off your wish list- Here are some locations where jolly old St. Nick will be appearing today.. I’m amazed how he gets around to so many places. Where does he park his reindeer?

=====

Santa Express

All roads will lead to the Gallery at Market East as the 17th Annual Santa Express rolls into 8th Market on a festive train caravan with a cast of his merry friends including the famous inventor, Ben Franklin. Join Santa’s parade and be dazzled by a holiday magic show.

=====

Franklin Square

Is Santa riding the liberty carousel? Yep, that’s him sitting on the dragon because they haven’t made a reindeer yet. But he does have good company in the form of carolers who would love for you to sing along to your favorite holiday hymns.

Ritz Carlton Hotel

All that singing might make you hungry. How about snacking on a full size gingerbread house inside the Rotunda of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Center City. Santa will be there to help unveil a 40 foot Christmas tree along with agospelchoir to boot!

Rittenhouse Tree Festival

After warming up inside at the Ritz, be dazzled at the Rittenhouse Tree Lighting at the Square. Free Photos with Santa! Free Photos with Santa! It will also be the kickoff of the 19th Annual Salvation Army’s Joy of Sharing. They will be collecting new unwrapped toys to help make every child’s holiday that much brighter!

About the Blogger

I was born in Philly but was made in China (it's tattooed on my right shoulder)! My parents thought I was quite the sovernior and appropriately raised me in Philly's chinatown. I'm first generation and proud of my culture and my city. Serving as a concierge at the Independence Visitor Center, I happily spend all day talking about Philadelphia to tourists and locals alike. It's an honor to be the host/tour guide of Chinatown for GPTMC's vodcasts. When I'm not pretending to be Mr. Philadelphia, I put on my ipod and cruise the town on my bicycle. People watching rules and so does Sugar Moms in Old City. I kill at skeeball! Living at the Italian Market is so great because it helps to fulfill my favorite pastime, eating!
