Buffalo Exchange

It’s not your momma’s consignment shop. The Buffalo Exchange is an unusual hybrid of thrift- and regular store that caters to the young, trendy, and budget-minded, offering a constantly revolving selection of men’s and women’s clothes, shoes, and accessories. While their mainstays include skull and crossbones patterns, large, brightly-colored plastic necklaces and t-shirts with ironic sayings on them, it’s also possible to find well-priced clothes in a more classic style, like for squares with corporate dress codes to keep in mind.
It appears they’ve been amping up their costume selection for the season, so it’s a good place to check out if you’re looking for one, or if you’re just one of those people who happens to dress like every day is Halloween.
I like it because it’s one of the only stores around that allows you to make a little cash now and then. Bring some of your old clothes to their buyers at the front counter and, if they pass muster, they’ll offer you 30% of the price they’ll sell it for in cash, or 50% store credit.
Just don’t take it personally if they reject your clothes, thereby implying indirectly that you are a hopelessly behind-the-times-lacking-in-style dorkface. (Not that this, *cough cough*, ever happened to me.)
