Holiday Tour of Fairmount Park

Fairmount Park is one of the largest urban parks in the country. It far surpasses Central Park in NY 9 times over. (I just had to say that!) Runners, cyclists, and rowers make this their urban playground. However, our park is far more than just a place to burn calories. It’s home to beautiful houses that were once inhabited by prominent Philadelphians as their summer getaway. Trolley tours were offered to visit said houses but the numbers just didn’t add up. But the holidays are a different story.
Starting on Wednesday, November 28th, come aboard a Victorian trolley for a Holiday tour of the historic Fairmount Park Houses. Decorated in Christmas splendor, take a trip back in time to view six houses that span the length of Fairmount Park. From way up high on Lemon Hill to the flowing streams that run past Strawberry Mansion, this opportunity only comes once a year. The cost is $25 per visitor for 3 houses, which includes transportation, but will only cost $5 per house if you prefer to take your own ride. Don’t wait too long to decide, it ends Dec 2nd.
