Welcome to another episode of Studioscopic! Last time, David Kessler took you to meet Ira Upin, an artist living and working in Northern Liberities. Today, you’ll meet Jenny Kanzler from South Philadelphia, St Monica’s Parish, who talks about her paintings, drawings, and neighborhood.

Studioscopic gets posted every other week here on Uwishunu, and over at our friends Philebrity. Check in on February 14th for another fun episode!

Visit Jenny Kanzler online at her official website to check out more of her work!

About the Blogger

Hi! I'm Eric. I'm a Springsteen-loving, Bon-Jovi singing Jersey boy who recently up and left, relocating to the awesome city of Philadelphia. I'm a full time graduate student at Arcadia University and work for GPTMC, causing my coworkers to wonder if I have any kind of life. I don't. I enjoy photography, writing, reading, and playing Halo III. I spend a lot of time fussing over my chinchilla, Mittens. He's adorable, and you'll love him.

Jenny Kanzler!
Loved this studioscopic…. and your work continues to be creepy and inspiring and tragic and comedic all wrapped in one… with some hair on top.
You’re wonderful :)

I enjoyed this video and hearing about your work. I look forward to seeing you at the First Person Arts Salon series debut on February 13 at 7 PM at the Gershman Y at Broad and Pine St. Your work is intriguing. Aristotle in action. I am impressed.
Look foreward to meeting you,
Linda

Loved the video at the First Person Arts Salon last evening. Your work is thought provoking and visceral. Besides that, you are a hell of painter. As mentioned last evening, I loved the improvisation boxes you use to further your creativity and drawing skills. Think you should market them. What a terrific toy/tool.
