Chinese New Year Recap

What happens when you cage a lion? The rage simply builds, until finally, it breaks free. Last night in Chinatown… we let them out.
As the lions danced through Chinatown looking for money (seriously) you could hear the sounds of firecrackers and people cheering… even after a thunderstorm roared through our neighborhood! And at 12:50 am, with the parade over and the lions are sedated, I write this, a sweaty mess with burn marks and all. What a great start to the New Year!

Don’t fret! In case you missed it, Chinatown will be holding the parade again for the next three Sundays starting at noon and ending around 4pm, covering all of Chinatown. And my crew is up first, Feb 10th. Boo-yah!
Chinese New Year Parade
Noon to 4PM: All throughout Chinatown – just follow the sound of firecrackers
