Pay The Weather @ The Philadelphia Zoo

Pay The Weather @ The Philadelphia Zoo

Punxsutawney Phil was right when he predicted six more weeks of winter. As the winds howl and the temperatures drop, most people think about ice skating, tubing or visiting a museum. But what about the Philadelphia Zoo? Really? In this weather?

For the whole month of February, the Philadelphia Zoo started this wonderful promotion called Pay the Weather which dictates the price of admission based on how cold it is outside. If the weather reaches the 30 degree mark, you’ll just have to cough up three dollars. That’s it.

If the weather dips below the 20′s, it’s only one dollar. That’s cheaper than a bottle of Coke!

There are many heated areas of the zoo that includes the PECO primate reserve and the Dodge Rare Animal Conservation Center. To find out the going weather for the day- check the zoo website or looks for the signs at the Zoo’s North Gate.
