Ethan Miller from heavy rock band Comets on Fire and John Moloney from heavy weird band Sunburned Hand got together with a new band as Howlin Rain. The results are My Dad approved – they play straight-up Allman Brothers classic rock.

Terry Riley meets Maurice Ravel
Kimmel Center – Perelman Theater, 300 S Broad
World premier of Riley’s new Triple Concerto, played by the OG weird beard all-night flyer himself, accompanied by Krista Bennion Feeney (violin) and David Tanenbaum and Gyan Riley (guitars). He’s also playing piano improvisations. Opening are two new pieces by Maurice Ravel, who Riley chose to share the bill.
