Positano Coast

Post by Jonathan Wetstein
From the second floor and above 2nd and Walnut Streets, Positano Coast ignites the streets with its exotic Mediterranean decor and back-lit images of the Italian Island its named for. This is in no way your typical Italian restaurant. The kitchen offers a exquisite seafood dishes rich in the heritage of costal Italy. The exotic atmosphere offers relaxing lounge settings in one section (The Sopra Lounge), fixed-traditional dining in the other, as well as two patios and terrace.
My girlfriend and I could not believe how intimate dining could get until we were served our entrees beneath a canopy with lanterns on soft furniture with life-sized images of the Mediterranean light-up to our sides.
Patrons who come to enjoy the food should be aware that these portion sizes are on the smaller size, and although the bread is unlimited, this is also an opportunity sample any of the restaurant’s elegant side dishes. The wine bar and signature drinks are also a key ingredient in what makes this a regional destination.
Service is warm and personable, which best compliments the 360 degree view of Philadelphia’s Old City.

“ignites the street?!” is this taken right from the press release?

I love that place. The color scheme is very relaxing, love the booths with curtains, anything could happen when eating at this romantic place.
