First Friday at Memphis Flats: Y.A.M.A. Opening

This Friday, the new Fishtown condominiums Memphis Flats are hosting a night of art, music and community to increase awareness for Y.A.M.A–Young Advocates for Mural Arts. Featured in the three week long show are Brad Carney, a muralist, educator and coordinator for the Mural Arts Program, Shane Leddy and Justin Albright.
Carney will both be showing his “Natural Language” series, based on his experiences working on murals, as well as performing original music to entertain the crowd. And, in true Philly form, there will even be beer courtesy of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Head down to Memphis Flats this First Friday to see the new space, enjoy some art and become an advocate for the Mural Arts Program.
