Weekend Picks: Monday Edition

Independence Day
Sunoco’s “Welcome America Philadelphia” party on the parkway is the Friday stunner. Full schedule is here. There’s a parade, all-you-can-eat ice cream for $5, John Legend for free at 8:30pm and fireworks from the Art Museum at 11pm. Free.

The city’s independence day action continues at Penn’s Landing. Ice cream fest 12-9pm, “Taste of Philadelphia” restaurant sampler 11-7pm, Boyz II Men at 6:30pm, fireworks at 9:30pm.
