Paper Rad tentacle band Extreme Animals play blasty freakzone Kid Vid poppers at Pageant after Devil Music Ensemble jams the art museum. Check out the link to Crystal’s 1026 post about the same.

Leftover Crack, Mischief Brew, Witch Hunt
Troc, 10th and Arch
The favorite punk band of the most badly behaved kids the Philadelphia suburbs have to offer, Leftover Crack. With the otherwise killer Mischief Brew and West Philly’s boss and actually p-as-f Witch Hunt. 8pm, $12.

Vox Populi Gallery, 319 N 11th
Pre-Friday First Friday pick. Huge info on the annual new members show at Vox at the link. 7pm, free.

Smooth Jazz on the Waterfront with Warren Hill
Penn’s Landing, Chestnut and Front
It is my own personal belief that there is no room in this life for smooth jazz, but since this is the eleventh year of this event, other people somewhere must disagree. If you’re one of them, it’s at 7:30pm and free.

Club Lyfestile Homecoming Show
Adventure Island, 3217 Collins
Philly’s neon dance dudes get back Saturday and they will be partying hard at the furthest warehouse in town. Big beats that go late, featuring Jhn rdn, Sweatheart, Beat Jams and French Erection. Starts at “8pm” (absolutely zero actual chance of this) and donations are accepted.

ONGOING

Rennie Harris Pure Movement’s Illadelph Legends
Tenth anniversary of RHPM’s hip hop dance fest. Go see and learn how the best of the best bust moves.

Get in the Fountain or Go to the South Philly Walmart
Logan Circle or Walmart @ 1601 S Columbus
Summer yin and yang pick: since it’ll be August, either deny the future and take a cool dip in the fountain at Logan Circle, or go to the South Philly Walmart and try to buy school supplies (or anything). The store is a legend of ridiculous Philadelphia chaos (or like a boring episode of COPS where there’s mostly just yelling and rudeness) even on an off day, but Nutter help a pedestrian who stops in unsuspecting during the inevitable back to school sale maelstrom. You might as well stop by and check it out with a smile.

Camden Riversharks vs. Maryland Blue Crabs
Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 5pm, Sunday at 1pm.

Disney Music Block Party
Fairmount Park West
Friday-Sunday with They Might Be Giants, Imagination Movers,
Barenaked Ladies, Dan Zanes, Ralph’s World, and Choo Choo Soul. Info at the link.

As You Like It
