This past Saturday afternoon, Philadelphians of all shapes, sizes and political affiliations came together to witness the one and only Bruce Springsteen play a “rare acoustic set” in the middle of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Though officially sponsored by the Obama/Biden campaign, volunteers were out in droves signing up anyone that needed to register to vote.

From Logan Square to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, rally-goers filled the streets, brandishing shirts for sale, full stand-ups of Barack Obama, and more often than not, piping hot cups of coffee from one of the many nearby vendors. Between Philadelphia-native openers Amos Lee and Nora Whitaker, the crowd was ready for The Boss’s 7-song acoustic set and rousing speech. It certainly didn’t hurt that it was a beautiful Fall day, either. If you for some reason missed any part of the show, we’ve included a gallery for your perusal.
