Gustavo Dudamel @ The Kimmel Center: Who Says Classical Music Can’t Be Hot?

Gustavo Dudamel and his Simón BolÃÂÂvar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela have stunned audiences worldwide with their explosive Latin-American showpieces. Their cover of Leonard Bernstein West Side Story “Ëœs Mambo has become a YouTube favorite with hundred thousands of viewers. At 27-years old, this conductor is becoming a legend, and suddenly classical music has become hot again.
On November 19th, Gustavo Dudamel makes his Philadelphia debut at the Kimmer Center, with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Forte, the Young Art Lovers group, will also size the opportunity to host a pre-show cocktail mixer with music and dancing, in the Kimmel Center’s Annex Lounge.
