Secret Cinema Presents Philly-Centric Film Gems

Calling the evening From Philadelphia With Love 2008, that pesky Jay Schwartz from Secret Cinema has gathered a bunch of educational, industrial, documentary and thramsbridiggle films about Philadelphia… all on 16mm, of course! He’ll be showing them at the auditorium at Moore College of Art tonight, November 14th.

Spanning the 50s, 60s and 70s, there are early films featuring broadcast careers at WCAU, a color rich look at Curtis Publishing, a likely very long haired visit to Friends Select in 1970, and a film about The South Street Renaissance in the late 70s. Gee, will I spot myself as a snot nosed teen, holding up a lamp post? We’ll see!

Showtime is at 8 PM, and admission is a modest $7. Get there a little early, as it will likely sell out!
