A Chorus Line @ The Forrest Theatre

I’ve seen the movie adaptation of A Chorus Line several times, and I was a little anxious to see what the stage show would be like. But as soon as the lights turned off and I started hearing “Five, Sixe, Seven”¦” my heart started to beat a little faster and a smile lit up on my face. Suddenly I felt like I was there, physically, in a (Broadway) theater, during an audition.

Unless you only care for action-packed movies and have a natural aversion to musicals, there is something for everyone in A Chorus Line. The story is just wonderful. It embraces issues that haven’t gotten any older since the show debuted 30 years ago; homosexuality, rejection, frustration, fear of the unknown”¦ deep subjects, but always treated with a spark of humor.

The world famous finale has a perfect 70s Broadway flare: sparkles, hat tips, leg kicks and an amazing in-unison dance number that almost comes as a wink when the rest of the show is spent dissecting what make each one of the characters so unique.

Don’t miss the opportunity to catch this award winning musical. You won’t regret it.
