Jesus Christ Superstar @ The Academy of Music
Continuing in their recent tradition of bringing Broadway shows to Philadelphia, the Kimmel Center premieres “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Academy of Music for a “limited five-performance weekend engagement”, opening this Friday! Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s theatrical masterpiece has been thrilling audiences for over 30 years and it’s finally coming to Philly’s Avenue of the Arts.
Ticket prices start at $25 and go as high as $100 for “VIP premium seats”, but can you really put too high a price on world renowned acting? That’s right, reprising the titular role is Ted Neely from the classic film adaptation. Quick! You only have five performances before he’s back on the train to NYC! You should probably get yourself some tickets, eh?
Performances include: Friday & Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sunday evening at 6:30pm. Matinees Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 1pm.
