You know, I always figured there were a lot of secrets in Chestnut Hill.

Not the least of which will be in “Ladies in Retirement,” a theatrical thriller that takes place on an ancient farmhouse along the gloomy marshes of 19th century England. The thriller opened last Friday, March 6th at the Stagecrafters Theater. The show runs through the next two weekends, including Thursday performances on March 12 and 19.

Watch a contest of wills between a former courtesan, her old maid, a fugitive from justice, and others, full of twists and played out on a stage in Chestnut Hill, the prized neighborhood in Philadelphia’s beautiful northwest.
