Violinist Hilary Hahn @ the Kimmel Center

If you didn’t make it the Grammys, let one come to you.

Violinist and Curtis Institute graduate Hilary Hahn, who won a Grammy at the age of 25, will be performing with Ukranian pianist Valentina Lisitsa at the Kimmel Center on March 4 at 8 p.m.

Hahn boasts a host of awards and honors, all of which starting rolling in after Time magazine named her “America’s Best” young classical musician in 2001. Her March 4thecital with Lisitsa will include appearances by Ives and Ysaÿe as well as Bach’s Hungarian Dances and Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances.

The show will follow a free musical performance held on the Kimmel’s Commonwealth Plaza stage at 6:30 p.m., as previously posted on uwishunu.

A limited number of $10 tickets are available for every Kimmel Center Presents performance at the Kimmel Center. They go on sale the day of the event and can be purchased at the Kimmel Center box office beginning at 5:30pm prior to evening curtain time and 11:30am for matinees. They limit one ticket per person, but at least give that a try if you’re cheap. Do it for Lang Lang and holler at the Curtis Institute at 17th and Locust for me.
