Looking to get some foolproof wine starting April 1st? Head over to XIX, the trendy bar on top of the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue, for their Cellar Selection Wednesdays or a Perfect Pairing Wine Dinner, where sommelier Richard Slutter created two new rendezvous for the oenophile in you, whether you’re novice or expert.

Every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, spend an hour learning your wines, organized around a specific theme. Pinot Noir from around the world, Old World vs. New World, summer white wines, California Zinfandels will be among the first to be presented along the month of April. For $20 you’ll get to taste the wines, enjoy a light fare and maybe go home with one of the selected bottles.

To complete your wine discovery or get a more in-depth perspective on pairings, try the monthly Perfect Pairing Wine Dinner where a $55 prix-fixe menu will be designed to highlight the qualities of the featured wines. The first wine dinner will be held on April 15, and will revolve around Champagne, Pinot Noir and Torrontes.
