Germantown Welcomes Third Annual Poetry Block Party
This is not your typical free outdoor festival.
The third annual Germantown Poetry Festival at Vernon Park invites you to be inspired this weekend. Saturday April 18th, the public will have an opportunity to be amazed by young poets as they recite their own works on stage. From high schools all around the area, these youths have spent many hours listening, writing and performing”" preparing for an opportunity like this.
The event will also feature award-winning African American poet and activist, Sonia Sanchez and guest artists Trapeta Mayson, the Twin Poets, and Yellow Rage. Come check it out. Vernon Park is a beautiful place to enjoy some poetry.
