Just off Rittenhouse Square, Friday Saturday Sunday is a tiny, romantic restaurant that serves New American Cuisine at tiny tables, under twinkling lights. Just inside the door up the side stairs, you’ll find a small bar lit by the glow of a large tropical fish tank. Snuggle up with your honey under the low, cloth-draped ceiling at the Tank Bar and enjoy one of the city’s best early evening specials at their awesome Half Price Happy Hour.

All top shelf drinks are half-off Monday through Friday from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. That means $5 martinis, $4 glasses of wine and $2 beers. On a recent trip I enjoyed the Asian Pear-adise martini pear vodka delicately flavored with lemongrass, lime, and a fresh pear slice.

Oh! And be sure to also ask for the Tank Bar snack menu. The Wasabi Deviled Eggs ($3 for 4 halves) are a perfect bite, and other choices, including Artichoke Truffles ($4), Smoked Salmon on cucumber with goat cheese and dill ($4), and blue cheese and walnut-stuffed Belgian Endive will keep your stomach, and your wallet, happy.
