Based on “Panther in the Basement” by Amos Oz; an 11 year old Israeli militant befriends a British officer, and his town accuses him of being a traitor. It won the Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2008 Palm Beach International Film Festival. 9pm, $12, free for college and high school students.

Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society Festival

Free Library Festival
Central Library, 17th and Vine
The Library’s 3rd annual literary festival. If there’s one weekend where you go to a reading this year, make it this one. Program highlights (link above for the full list) include Black Arts founder, poet Amiri Baraka and 20th century master Joyce Carol Oates. All free, from 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
