Geckos: Tails to Toepads @ The Academy of Natural Sciences

Check out more cute gecko photos in our Flickr gallery!
Today I had the pleasure of stopping by the Academy of Natural Sciences for a sneak peak at their upcoming exhibit, Geckos: Tails to Toepads, which opens this Saturday, May 30th, and runs until September 7th.
Featuring over a dozen live geckos in beautiful, naturalistic habitats, the exhibit is truly wonderful and an excellent addition to the museum’s summer programming. And like every good exhibit, you’ll find plenty of large, colorful bulletin boards full of interesting facts, as well as interactive and informative computer workstations. The exhibit is free with general museum admission. And hey, while you’re there, check out Butterflies!, it’s only $2 extra.
Be sure to catch the exhibit before it closes in September, at which point I will be calling up the academy to see if I can’t take home a leopard gecko. Seriously, those little guys are adorable. You can scope out some photos of them in our Flickr gallery, here. We’ll also have a video up in the coming weeks, featuring interviews with the Academy’s fantastic staff.
For more information, hours, and admission prices, please visit the Academy of Natural Sciences’ official website.
