Big party to build money for the NCDC to continue in “the creation of dance projects that exist at the crossroads of movement, visual art, and theater.” Tons going on in the way of light and magic from the main team (Jonathan covered it in full at the link above), plus tarot readings and best dude/Foreign Service host Laris Kreslins on the decks/iPods. $15 advance/$20 door at 9pm, $50 for the artists’ pre-party at 7pm with dinner.

Film from the Janus Collection: The Golden Coach

Ihouse’s continuing Janus screening series continues with The Golden Coach, “a ravishing eighteenth-century comic fantasy about a viceroy who receives the titular exquisite golden coach and gives it to the tempestuous star of a touring commedia dell’arte company. Master director Jean Renoir’s sumptuous tribute to the theater, presented here in the English version he favored, is set to the music of Antonio Vivaldi and built around vivacious and volatile star Anna Magnani.” dir.
