Tierra Mia Organic Nail Spa

Tierra Mia Organic Nail Spa interior
Summer in Philly can feel like the desert, with the dry heat radiating from the city sidewalks and sun rays burning off the glimmering office buildings. To the rescue: an urban oasis, Tierra Mia Organic Nail Spa. Newly unfurling its leaves in a quiet residential spot just off Rittenhouse Square, Tierra Mia is Italian for “My Land” – and lives up to the label.
From the highest-purity air quality, assurance of solely sustainable practices, and use of all-organic ingredients from raw coconut to cinnamon, co-owners (and betrothed) Karina Restrepo and Justin Mitchell have applied their belief in natural alternatives to the concept of a non-traditional nail spa. The space itself was constructed with environmentally safe materials, from the American Clay natural clay plaster walls to the zero-toxic paints to the 78% post-industrial wood waste flooring.
Book an appointment at this urban sanctuary (check the website, tierramiaorganicnailspa.com, for hours), either as a well-earned refreshing treat or to celebrate with a group of friends. Choose from a luxurious manicure, pedicure, massage, waxing or makeup application, all free of chemicals and focused on spoiling you with a revitalizing sensory experience. And for the ultra-harried, who need the replenishment to come to them: Karina will be continuing her mobile manicure/pedicure service, complete with masks, scrubs, moisturizers, polishes, a soaking tub, and a comfy vibrating chair.
Either on- or off-site, douse yourself this summer in all-natural, refueling bliss. Sometimes it is easy being green.

It’s a little pricey to get your mani/pedi there..$60 total and I wasn’t very happy with the outcome. Two hours later 9 of my 10 polished fingers were chipped and one week later there is no polish on three of my toes..not worth it.

Went for my birthday with two friends. It was terrific and I will definitely go back. It’s not for those who are in a rush, but it’s a great atmosphere, wonderful people working there, and great colors. I had never had organic polish before. Quality is fabulous.

Had to post here being this is where I’d first heard of the salon I loved every minute of it!!! I find it really hard to find good nail service here in Philly and I know part of that has to do with my expectations as a cosmetologist myself because I can tell bad practices that others won’t see as being so. I was so happy to find these ladies professional from the owner to the receptionist to my nail tech AND the service was wonderful.
She had to deal with my really calloused dirty feet due to my open shoes (and didn’t mention the beach I’d been on:)) and was very patient and simply explained what she was doing and ways to help prevent it at home rather than flinching. Higly recommend this salon.
