Sleepover @ The Battleship New Jersey

Have you ever wondered what life at sea would be like? Do you sometimes imagine yourself in the shoes of a sailor, looking up at a sky filled with thousands of stars, the ocean lapping gently at the belly of your ship?
Well, the Battleship New Jersey, a floating museum on the Camden waterfront, is providing you with the chance to do just that! Escape the day-to-day grind of your life for one night on board this legendary ship for an overnight encampment! You will be able to get a first-hand experience of what life was like for sailors.
The encampment includes a hardy dinner and breakfast with the crew, a tour of the historic World War II-era ship, involvement in a “dogfight” in the 4-D flight simulator, and even a chance to sleep in the actual bunks the sailors once slept in!
Guests can explore the ship’s cabins, medical and dental offices, and 16-inch gun turret. Children over the age of seven can participate in the tour of the ship with a guardian, but are unable to spend the night. Sorry kids.
The Adult Encampment will be held on Friday, July 24th, with tickets set at about $50 a person. For more information and to order tickets, check out the Battleship’s official website. Have fun!
