Philadelphia Ale & Arts Adventure: Murals & Beer!

There are a lot of ways visitors and locals alike can get around the city. Aside from buses and trains, you have your handsome cabs for that old-world horse-drawn feel. If you are brave, you can fight through the barrage of duck whistles to ride the only amphibious city tour vehicle, the duck boat. But the good people at the Mural Arts Program, Yards and the World Café may have come up with the most pleasurable way to get around.
It seems to be a trend these days that if people like something when they are standing still, they will love it twice as much on the go. So Mural Arts, Yards and the World Café created the Philadelphia Ale and Arts Adventure, a city-wide trolley tour of the murals that have become a world famous part of the Philadelphia experience. But this is not some sleepy seniors tour. As an intermission, the tour stops at the Yards Brewery for a tour and tasting. After that, its off to the World Café for an evening with Agent Moosehead.
With a truly original mixture of jazz, prog-rock and psychadelia, there is truly no label for Agent Moosehead. This Philly-based sextet will rock you with their relentless and feverish instrumentals. There is never a dull moment when these guys hit the stage.
All of this takes place aboard one of the original Philadelphia trolley cars that Septa took offline in favor of buses years ago. Guests will get to experience this antique ride in a whole new way. Tours take place on Thursday, August 13th (Agent Moosehead performing) and Thursday, August 27th (IKE performing). $30 includes mural tour, beer tour and entertainment.
