Cedar Street Studios’ Art Bazaar & Concert

What can you really get for $5 in Philadelphia? A glass of wine at happy hour, two and a half rides on SEPTA, a bag of apples at the farmer’s market, and a DVD rental… maybe.

What about a ticket to see 20 bands perform on two stages in one day, plus shop around the work of more than 30 artists and crafters? On Saturday September 12th The Atlas Building in Port Richmond (3211 Cedar Street between Allegheny and Madison) is holding Cedar Street Studio’s first annual Bang For The Buck Bazaar & All-Day Concert. From 10 am to 8 pm enjoy three floors of entertainment: live music, DJs, plus handmade art.

Cedar Street Studios was founded in 2006 by musician/producer/engineer Ted Richardson, and seeks to offer local artists an inviting and creative atmosphere complete with lofty ceilings and spacious rooms for maximum sound power, plus a wide range of instruments, mics and gear.

Miss Rachel’s Traveling Fare will be vending vegan treats, and the North Port Fishington Cookie Factory will be selling vegan cookies, to Bazaar-goers. Johnny “B” Place will also be offering their pizza and sandwiches. There will be plenty of street parking, in addition to the K-mart shopping plaza lot one block away. Visit Cedar Street Studios’ official website for more details.
