Body Worlds 2 Opening Tomorrow at the Franklin Institute

The last time a Body Worlds exhibition came to The Franklin Institute, it stayed for six months and attracted more than half a million visitors. This new exhibition, called Body Worlds 2 & The Brain will only be in town for six weeks, but it’s expected to have similar drawing power during its run.
Staring tomorrow, you’ll be able to view more than 20 whole bodies that have been preserved and displayed thanks to a technique known as plastination, which replaces the bodily fluids and fats with special plastics. This preserves the whole physique and allows visitors the opportunity to see the muscles, bones and fibers that make up the human body.
Body Worlds 2 opens on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 and runs through February 19th, 2010. Ticket prices vary depending on time of entry. Click here for pricing information and online ticket purchases.
