Brand New Hub Bub Coffee Truck Serving Stumptown Coffee Opens Today in University City
The Hub Bub Coffee Truck, an upscale, coffee shop on wheels, opened today at the corner of 38th and Spruce Streets in University City.
Opened by a 26-year old University of Pennsylvania graduate, the Hub Bub Coffee Truck is retrofitted with top-of-the-line Fetco coffeemakers, a La Marzocco two-group espresso machine handmade in Florence, Italy, a water filtration system and even a sound system so customers can enjoy their favorite tunes as they sip on their coffee.
Hub Bub will serve coffee and espresso from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a much-hyped independent coffee roaster and retailer based in Portland, Oregon. The menu will offer a wide array of hot and cold beverages including: Iced Coffee and Iced Chai; Espresso Macchiato; Hub Bub Red Eye, a coffee-and-espresso combo ideal for students stressed out by studying; English Breakfast Tea; and even Fresh Lemonade.
Baked goods ($2) will include muffin tops, cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies. Drinks will range in price from $1.50 for a 12 oz. house coffee to $4.50 for a large iced mocha. All drinks can be supplemented with an extra shot of espresso, flavor syrups, soy milk and other amenities.
