Ignite Philly 4 Tonight @ Johnny Brenda’s
Innovation lovers rejoice! Tonight the fourth installment of Ignite Philly lands at Johnny Brenda’s. Ignite is a worldwide program that strives to highlight interesting things happening in and around different cities, in five minute bursts. Each speaker is allowed the spotlight for 300 seconds and 20 slides (at 15 seconds a slide).
This time, topics range from home canning (more subversive than you might imagine) to the local video game industry to the creation of a Gay History Wiki. Currently, all the pre-sale tickets are spoke for (all proceeds are being donated to The Food Trust), but the organizers set aside 100 spots for those not organized enough to reserve in advance. Doors open at 7 p.m. (however, I’m certain the line will be forming earlier) and presentations begin at 8 p.m.
