Masquerade Ball @ the National Constitution Center

Been in a wedding recently and just dying to wear your bridesmaid dress again? Love your 11th grade prom dress (still fit in it?) and want to wear it somewhere? Luckily, there is an event to which you can actually wear that darn dress again – the National Constitution Center is hosting an Enchanted Halloween Masquerade.
On Saturday, October 24, you have the chance to dress like royalty, get fitted for a tiara, learn proper etiquette, and participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the museum. Don’t go alone; this event is fun for the whole family, so bring your King or Queen and little Princes and Princesses. Kids under age 12 can enter a costume contest, so bust out last year’s Halloween outfits! Or have them wear this year’s costume, as I’m sure they are pumped to be royalty for more than one day.
If you visit the Center in royal garb, you can participate in ballroom dancing lessons from Society Hill Dance Academy and etiquette classes by Charm. There will be crafts galore for the kids – face painting and mask-making – and special Halloween contests and goodies abound.
While you’re enjoying the Center’s royal ball, be sure to simultaneously check out the international traveling exhibition, Diana: A Celebration, where you can learn more about the life and work of the Princess of Wales.
No one minds being King or Queen for the day – masquerade it up!
