The Rum Bar & Lounge in Rittenhouse Square is hosting a 1920′s themed shindig this Saturday, October 3rd starting at 9PM, and want you there in your best gangster-gear or flapper-threads. Adam Kanter, owner and chief bartender of the Rum Bar, will be presenting a few zoot suit era themed drinks like “The Derby” (Prichards’ Fine Rum, sweet vermouth, orange Curacao and lime juice) and the “La Floridita Daiquiri” (Brugal White Rum, lime juice, Maraschino liqueur, simple syrup).

But why bother dressing up, when Halloween is so close? First of all, when is dressing up not fun for any occasion? For you dullards who need a real reason, Adam is dishing out his new cocktails at half price to those done up in their bootlegger’s best.

Better yet, DJ Na:Tev will be playing Sinatra-Biggie style fusion tunes all night to keep the speakeasy mood alive. Also, this Saturday will be October’s full moon, so you have absolutely no excuse not to get a little crazy. Just leave the tommy guns at home, boys.
