Shoot Quality Nature Photography @ the Academy of Natural Sciences

The nearly 200-year-old museum on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway is holding a two-part nature photography workshop this October 15th and 17th. The workshop will be lead by Doug Wechsler, director of the Academy’s VIREO project and an established nature photographer who has been published in several publications as well as 20 self-authored children’s books.
Wechsler’s first segment will take place within the Academy’s walls and serve to prepare you for the big day when you’ll be taken for a day-long photography session in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. After a lovely day of sightseeing, you’ll hopefully be well versed in lighting and design techniques and able to create enviable photographs.
The workshop has a registration fee of $80, but if you’re an Academy member you’ll receive a $5 discount. Unfortunately, the Academy can’t provide any equipment, but if photography happens to be your hobby, hopefully you have your own.
