Did you ever want to get tattooed on board an 1892 warship? Sure you have.

Next weekend, from October 16th to the 18th, nearly 40 tattooists skilled in the art of American Traditional tattoos (the style favorite by early 20th century sailors) will be practicing their trade on board the 1892 Historic Landmark Cruiser, Olympia. Part of the Independence Seaport Museum, this massive warship was Admiral Dewey’s flagship in the Spanish-American War, and is the oldest steel warship still afloat in the world.

Along with the tattoo artists hard at work on board the ship, a tattoo festival will take place on the Seaport’s Balcony Terrace. The festival features tattoo memorabilia, clothing, contests, an art show, and more. While you’re there getting inked and buying swag, why not check out the Skin & Bones: Life of the American Sailor exhibit?

Tickets are $20 a day, $40 for the entire weekend. For more information, visit the Independence Seaport Museum’s official website.
